Yo-Yo Loach (Botia almorhae)

The Yo-Yo Loach is one of the most entertaining freshwater fish you can own. Named after the unique “Y-O-Y-O” pattern along its sides, these active loaches are constantly exploring, digging through the substrate, and interacting with one another. They have tons of personality and quickly become a favorite in any aquarium.

Yo-Yo Loaches are also well known for helping control pest snail populations, making them a great addition to many community tanks. They’re curious, social fish that thrive when kept in groups.

Yo-Yo Loaches do best in groups of at least 3, though 5 or more is even better. They enjoy aquariums with sand or smooth gravel, driftwood, rocks, caves, and plenty of hiding places. Because they’re active explorers, a secure lid is recommended.

Feed a quality sinking pellet along with frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphnia, and occasional vegetables. They’ll also hunt pest snails, but shouldn’t be relied on as their only food source.

Shipping Info:

We ship fish on Monday and Tuesday so they arrive quickly and safely. Orders usually arrive Wednesday or Thursday.

All fish are packed carefully with insulation and heat or cold packs when needed.

Live arrival is guaranteed as long as someone is available to receive the package on the first delivery attempt.
