Celestial Pearl Danio (Danio margaritatus)

The Celestial Pearl Danio, also known as the Galaxy Rasbora, is one of the most beautiful nano fish in the aquarium hobby. Their deep blue bodies are covered in tiny pearly white spots, while their bright orange and red fins add an incredible splash of color. They’re small, peaceful, and absolutely stunning in a planted aquarium.

These fish do best in groups and become much more active and confident when kept with others of their own kind. In a well-planted tank, you’ll often see males displaying their best colors as they gently compete for the attention of females.

Celestial Pearl Danios thrive in heavily planted aquariums with plenty of hiding places and open swimming areas. They should be kept in groups of at least 6, but larger groups will bring out their best colors and natural schooling behavior. They make excellent tank mates for shrimp, corydoras, rasboras, and other peaceful nano fish.

Feed a quality micro pellet or crushed flake along with frozen or live foods such as baby brine shrimp, daphnia, and microworms. A varied diet helps maintain their vibrant colors and overall health.
