Bumblebee Gobies may be small, but they have huge personalities. Their bright yellow bodies with bold black stripes give them the appearance of a tiny bumblebee, making them one of the most eye-catching nano fish in the hobby.

These curious little fish spend much of their day exploring the bottom of the aquarium, perching on rocks and driftwood, and hunting for tiny foods. They’re a great choice for species tanks or peaceful community aquariums with similarly sized fish.

Bumblebee Gobies enjoy aquariums with plenty of plants, rocks, driftwood, and hiding places. They do best in stable, mature aquariums with gentle water flow. While some species of Bumblebee Gobies naturally live in brackish water, Brachygobius xanthozonus can thrive in a well-maintained freshwater aquarium.

Feed a variety of frozen and live foods such as bloodworms, baby brine shrimp, daphnia, and other small meaty foods. Some individuals can be slow to accept prepared foods, so offering frozen foods regularly is recommended.
