Blood Parrot Cichlids enjoy aquariums with rocks, driftwood, and caves to explore, along with plenty of open swimming space. They generally do well with other peaceful to moderately aggressive fish of similar size. Because of their unique mouth shape, they appreciate foods that are easy to eat.

Feed a quality cichlid pellet along with frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and krill. A varied diet will help maintain their bright coloration and overall health.
