Assassin Snail (Anentome helena)

Assassin Snails are one of the most useful additions you can make to a freshwater aquarium. They’re best known for naturally controlling pest snail populations, making them a favorite among planted tank and community aquarium owners.

Unlike many other snails, Assassin Snails are carnivores. They’ll hunt unwanted pest snails like bladder, pond, and ramshorn snails, helping keep their populations under control. They also have a beautiful yellow and dark brown striped shell that makes them an attractive addition to any aquarium.

Assassin Snails spend much of their time burrowing in the substrate or slowly exploring the aquarium. They’re excellent for controlling pest snails but will also eat leftover meaty foods, sinking pellets, frozen foods, and other protein-rich foods once the pest snails are gone.

They are generally safe with fish, shrimp, and plants, but may prey on very small snails or other ornamental snail species.

Shipping Info:

We ship livestock on Monday and Tuesday so it arrives quickly and safely. Orders usually arrive Wednesday or Thursday.

All livestock is packed carefully with insulation and heat or cold packs when needed.

Live arrival is guaranteed as long as someone is available to receive the package on the first delivery attempt.
