3 BLUE MYSTERY SNAILS

Blue Mystery Snails are one of the most eye-catching color varieties of Pomacea bridgesii, featuring deep sapphire to steel-blue shells and pale white bodies. They’re peaceful, plant-safe snails that spend their days gliding along glass, plants, and decorations while eating algae, leftover food, and organic debris — helping keep the aquarium clean and healthy.

They typically reach about 2 inches in size and do best in tanks of 5 gallons or larger with gentle filtration and stable water conditions. Ideal parameters include a temperature of 72–82°F and a pH of 7.2–8.0. Blue Mystery Snails make excellent additions to community tanks with shrimp, Corydoras, guppies, tetras, and other peaceful fish but should be kept away from snail-eating species like loaches and puffers.

To maintain strong, vibrant shells, ensure good calcium levels in the water and provide supplemental foods such as algae wafers, blanched vegetables (like zucchini, spinach, or cucumber), or sinking pellets when algae are limited. Mystery Snails breathe both through their gills and by surfacing to use their siphon, so leave a small air gap between the waterline and the tank lid for proper breathing and egg-laying.
