3 ASSORTED NERITE SNAILS
3 ASSORTED NERITE SNAILS
Assorted Nerite Snails are a colorful mix of popular Neritina species, such as Zebra, Tiger, Olive, and Horned Nerites, each with its own unique shell pattern and color. Together, they bring a vibrant variety of textures and markings to your tank while serving as some of the most effective algae eaters available in freshwater aquariums.
These snails usually reach about 1 inch in size and are completely plant-safe, peacefully grazing on glass, rocks, wood, and decorations to remove algae and biofilm. They thrive in freshwater tanks of 5 gallons or larger with stable water conditions — temperatures between 72–82°F and a pH of 7.0–8.2 are ideal.
Assorted Nerite Snails are perfect for community tanks with shrimp, Corydoras, tetras, guppies, and other peaceful fish. They do not reproduce in freshwater, as their eggs require brackish water to hatch, so you’ll never need to worry about overpopulation.
To maintain strong, healthy shells, provide plenty of calcium in the water and supplement their diet with algae wafers or blanched vegetables when algae growth is low. These snails are both practical cleaners and decorative additions — offering a dynamic mix of natural beauty and functionality for any freshwater aquarium.
